Leon Tolchinsky is ecstatic. He has not only landed a terrific teaching job in
an idyllic Russian hamlet, he has fallen in love. The only drawback is the town
has been cursed with cronic stupity for 200 years. The townspeople sweep dust
from the stoops back into the houses and milk cows upside down to get more cream.
His beloved is so stupid that she only recently learned how to sit down. Leon must
break the curse, but no one tells him that if he fails to break it within 24 hours,
he becomes stupid too!
